new life for old sheets

These beautiful hand embroidered linen sheets were purchased in France. Unfortunately they had some marks on them, so.....

I decided that today was a perfect day to give them a new lease of life! (I used i Dye - for natural fabrics - colour - GUN METAL)

The process took an hour and they were dry in 15 minutes (given that it was a scorcher here today 34°C).

The will be available for sale at Trove tomorrow (hot off the clothes line). They would make a lovely bed cover, throw, or curtain.

We have just received at Montreux a shipment of these fabulous turkish kilim cushions....

one door closes another one opens...

What a hectic time it has been these past few weeks, as if Christmas isn't a busy enough time of the year, we decided to open our new shop the week before. On top of all of this was a deadline of 01 January to vacate our warehouse...it was a mammoth task!

Well I'm happy to say we have survived it all and now look forward to the new year, our new shop and some new directions!
