Although at Montreux we are known for specialising in vintage one off pieces, we do also source new product.

This new range of ceramics is one such product. It is quite bold in shape but subtle in colour and fits the criteria I have when buying for the shop which is simply - do I love it / would I buy it - the answer of course was - yes.

The full range has just arrived in the shop and looks as beautiful as it did when I first spotted it. It is also very affordable!

We were happy to hire out our warehouse space and our props to Molmic (http://www.molmic.com.au/) a while ago so they could photograph their fabulous range of sofas. I remember it being a much longer couple of days than expected,  finishing up late one evening....but as you will see by the photographs it was well worth the lateness!

Their sofa range covers classic through to contemporary and there is something for everyone. We are happy our space provided a fantastic backdrop to show of their amazing range.

 We hire out our warehouse for many different photo shoots, from fashion through to furniture and we love it when the client provides us with photos of the finished product.

Guess what September 1st means....

spring - yes but it is also....

our birthday.......happy birthday to us!!

Montreux has now been around for 12 years (and I'm still not sure what we are doing right or where we are heading, but some how it all seems to work) !

it's a frame up !!!

Although hard to part with, we decided a little while ago to sell our fabulous collection of old frames. Usually 'for hire only', these frames are now available for sale in our shop!

They are beautiful in their own right, and I think they look great hanging on their own or sitting on a mantle or bedside. They are especially beautiful as a group, but you can add old mirror or your own artwork if you wish!!

To all of those who like to hire our frames I will begin a new collection.

back on track

I'm not very good at doing more than one thing at a time, and being the all or nothing sort of person that I am, I have spent the last month or so focusing on our pop-up house and neglecting our shop!

I admit I am a perfectionist working with imperfect pieces, and whilst I often feel that the shop is not up to scratch, others think it's fine just the way it is!!

We have just had a two day 'spring clean' at Montreux. A little early but well worth the effort - it was a pleasure to arrive at the shop this morning. We are back on track!!

Five days down - two to go!

We have a had fabulous response to our very first POP-UP house. We would like to thank all of our lovely loyal customers who have supported us with this latest venture (especially those who have visited us more than once and those who have either sent in or come back with family and friends)! ...we love it that you love old stuff as much as we do!

With two more days to go - for those who haven't visited there is still time - we have been introducing a few new pieces daily to keep our house 'fresh and interesting' - we look forward to seeing you there!
